IN PERFORMANCE - SALT
Salt explores the inextricable link humans have to the ocean and to salt - a vital molecule for the equilibrium of life.
This is a hybrid performance installation that sits at the nexus of space, sculpture, projection and choral composition. This work reflects the fragility, certainty and strength of girls as they find themselves women.
THE NEW NORMAL
THE NEW NORMAL will be the second development of Bagatelle, composed by Sally Whitwell in collaboration with The House Performance Ensemble, 2021.

Inspired by experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic and the huge challenges that isolation brought to musicians, The New Normal presents a series of micro compositions. This celebration of choral voice explores the human connection of singing together – with voices blended in real space and real time.
100 CAPES. 100 STORIES.
In collaboration with Jessica O’Donoghue, Yunyu Ong and Pru Montin, the 100 stories will be taken composed into music, by the The House ensemble of emerging women artists.

While confined to their houses during the 2020 lockdown, the young women of The House interviewed 100 cross-age women remote, regional, metropolitan and urban communities in every Australian state. Audiences navigate their stories, held within red capes and interspersed with music composed by emerging artists. 100 Capes. 100 Stories will showcase the macro collective experience of Australian women through intimately told life stories.
THE HOUSE FESTIVAL
The House Festival is a space for young and emerging artists to show their work, free from the judgement that their lack of experience may cast on them elsewhere. Initiated in 2021, the House Festival runs for four weeks, filled with workshops and platforms to showcase new works and compositions of young and emerging female artists.
REVERENCE
THE HOUSE 2022 COMMISSION IN COLLABORATION WITH ROSE RIEBL.

the female voice,
and its refusal to be silenced

Since the primordial om, humans have had a deep and profound attachment to the voice. This production is an exploration and celebration of the female voice, and its refusal to be silenced.
