Hello! Welcome to Whispers & Roars 2025!

Whispers & Roars is an 8 week performance mentoring program for young people at every stage of their music careers. The dropdown menus below have more information on how you can get involved.

For musicians:

We're offering an in-school program so you and your classmates can learn to play the ukulele and write your own songs.
If you'd like your school to be involved, email us, and let your teacher know.

If you're 12-18 years old, and just starting your music career, we've got just the thing for you.

We're setting up a workshop hub in your town, where you'll learn everything you need to become a working musician. You'll be guided through creating your first EP, a unique music video, releasing your music, and putting it all together to create a 10 minute set for the Whispers and Roars Festival at the end of September.

If you're already a confident musician, and you have at least 30 minutes of original material, head over to the 18-25 tab to see what we have on offer- we're talking a headlining slot at the Festival!

If you're 18-25 years old and already a confident musician, we'd love you to apply to be a lead artist for the Whispers & Roars Festival in September.

We'll need to see 30 minutes of original material, and you can apply as an individual or as a group.

What we offer:
★ An artist fee of $500- $1000 for each lead artist- if you're applying as a group, how this fee is split is up to you.

★ Technical and marketing support.

★ Mentoring and artistic skills development.

We'll also be running mentoring sessions for young musicians, which you're welcome to drop in on if you'd find them helpful.

For teachers:

If you're a primary school teacher and you're looking for a fun, effective method of teaching your students music and performance skills, you've come to the right place.
We've designed a full suite of teaching resources to teach every level of music student. These lessons can be led by a teacher without music training, with a performance outcome in the Whispers and Roars Festival in September.
What we offer:

★ An 8 week program of curriculum aligned music lessons.

★ Support from our experienced HQ staff.

★ A performance for your students in the Whispers and Roars Festival in September

★ Option for a local musician to lead the workshop program in-school, providing feedback and mentoring for your students.

If you're a high school teacher and you know a student who's a keen musician or budding rockstar, you've come to the right place.

We're offering workshops, skills development, mentoring, and support for emerging musicians, all leading to a performance outcome at the Whispers and Roars Festival in September.

What we offer:

★ An 8 week program of workshops, music skills, and professional development, led by a local musician.

★ Support from our experienced HQ staff.

★ A performance opportunity in the September Whispers and Roars Festival

We need community support to make this happen, so please spread the word, encourage your students to get involved, and send any young musicians our way.
