CALLING FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FROM AUSTRALIAN
FEMALE-IDENTIFYING EMERGING ARTISTS
The House that Dan Built is seeking expressions of interest from Sydney-based female-identifying, emerging artists for WHISPERS AND ROARS in October/November 2021.
The House is offering 20 artists, with the support of our artistic team, a place to showcase their artwork as part of The WHISPERS AND ROARS Festival. This festival will run across four weeks, celebrating and supporting women in the arts, to ensure female voices are being heard.

Week 4: SHE SINGS
Artists are invited to submit artworks from all different disciplines:
Artists from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including First Nation people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, LGBTQI people and people with a disability. There is room for an artist remuneration for up to 20 artists for $50-$400. The final curatorial choice will be made in collaboration with the curators and successful artists.
The House supports emerging artists to be the best they can be. Throughout this festival, artists will have access to creative support to the delivery of their work, simple technical support, one day rehearsal space, and promotional and marketing support.

Describe the ideas for your artwork so we can see your vision too!

Tech and space requirements (if known)
