The House that Dan Built is seeking expressions of interest from Sydney-based female-identifying, emerging artists for our WHISPERS AND ROARS FESTIVAL 2022

​

The House is offering 16 artists, with the support of our artistic team, a place to showcase their artwork as part of The WHISPERS AND ROARS Festival. The festival will support women in the arts, and ensure female voices are being heard. 

​

CREATIVE PRODUCER OPPORTUNITY

The House is looking for an EMERGING Creative Producer this year. ARTIST OPPORTUNITY

• 6 Lead Artists to deliver a 30 minute set/program/play dance (Artist fee $1000)

  • EXAMPLE: 10 songs​

• 10 supporting artists delivering 3-10 minute sets (Artist fee $150)

  • EXAMPLE: 1-3 songs​

 

Artists are invited to submit artworks from all different disciplines:

Artists from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including First Nation people, culturally and linguistically diverse people, LGBTQI people and people with a disability. A small amount of remuneration for artists may be available depending on art form and requirements. The final curatorial choice will be made in collaboration with the artistic director and successful artists.

The House supports emerging artists to be the best they can be. Throughout this festival, artists will have access to creative support to the delivery of their work, simple technical support, one day rehearsal space, and promotional and marketing support.

Please email Tallulah a one-page document (max 300 words) that includes the following:​

• Name, contact number, email

• Include a BIO: outline your artistic practice/experience/interests

• A description of your artwork and the technical requirements to deliver it

• Support Material (Max 10 images/links/weblinks/videos/text/audio samples etc)

 

Applications close at 5PM Friday Sept 2nd.  Artists will be notified by 12th September.
