Emerging Music Leader Role in Gunnedah

The House is looking for a female-identifying leader to teach TOY CHOIR in the Gunnedah region! We encourage young people, First Nations, cultural, linguistically and gender diverse people to apply for this role.

Job Description

The Toy Choir leader will work with Gunnedah Conservatorium to teach Toy Choir songwriting classes in local schools in Gunnedah and the surrounding area. The job will require you to work one day a week, teaching 3-4 hours + travel time, for 7 weeks across Term 2 (NSW school dates). The wage is $250 per day + travel allowance. We will provide training to run the term program, and a Toy Choir ukulele if you don't have one.

REQUIRMENTS

  • Live in the Gunnedah region

  • Are upbeat & energetic

  • Have experience working with kids/teenagers

  • You are a budding (or experienced) musician - specifically, you are comfortable with simple chords on the ukulele, and singing in front of people.

  • You have an Australian drivers license and own car.
