100 women 100 stories
BONDI PAVILION, 26-29 NOVEMBER 2026
We're bringing 100 Women, 100 Stories to Bondi Pavilion this December!
100 Women,100 Stories is a song cycle of music written by and for women. After interviewing 100 women across Australia, The House that Dan Built commissioned 6 established and emerging female composers to create a song cycle to be sung by a choir of 100 women.
Since then, we've toured across Australia, singing with local women everywhere from community centres to the Sydney Town Hall.
For the Bondi iteration of 100 Women, we'll be interviewing one hundred local women and gathering stories, to compose a new song specifically for the community.
We're searching for 100 women to share their story, learn new music over one weekend, and perform in a community concert on the shores of Bondi Beach.
Even if you have little or no music background, our team of experienced conductors will make sure you feel confident on the day!
We're also looking for a chorus of local girls to sing alongside our 100 women. Click the button on the right to find out more!
Please register to participate through the Bondi Pavilion website.
"Before working with [The House that Dan Built], we were not singers, our voices akin to scratched records. Afterwards, we firmly believed that we could perform at the Sydney Opera House if they’d let us,and therein lies the power of this work. This collective act of creating harmony boosts confidence and self-esteem,giving women a strong voice both literally and figuratively, and the women in that room relished every moment."
